This municipal aggregation program enables Ridge Farm and other participating Illinois communitiesto purchase energy at a lower rate through bulk buying. With the secured rate, Ridge Farm residents in the program pay 5.048 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh). For comparison, those in the current Ameren price to compare (PTC) pay 12.7 cents per kWh- more than double the Homefield Energy rate.

Such rate stability protects Ridge Farm residents from unpredictable fluctuations in the energy market through winter, summer, and fall.
